Trip Meeting Location

The Rim to River and Hermit Loop trips meet at the Grand Canyon South Rim 

We'll prove exact meetiing location details (parking area and GPS pin) aftrer booking, once permits and final logistics are confirmed. 

Recommended Arrival

  • Plan to arrive at the South Rim, Tusayan, Willlams, or Flagstaff the day before your trip. 

  • Last minute supplies are most available in the Flagstaff (REI/Walmart), smaller stores are available in the other cities.

  • Lodging is available at all the above cities & at the South Rim

  • Many trips depart at or before sunrise - Season & Weather dependent

Driving to the South Rim from Skyharbor Airport (PHX)

  • Phoenix, AZ to South Rim (approx 4 hours)

  • Phoenix, AZ to Flagstaff (approx 2.5 hours)

    • Flagstaff to South Rim (approx 1.5 hours)​

  • Phoenix, AZ to Williams (approx 3 hours)

    • Williams to South Rim (approx 1 hour)​

  • Phoenix, AZ to Tusayan (approx 3.5 hours)

    • Tusayan to South Rim (approx .5 hours)​

Driving to the South Rim from Pulliam Airport (FLG)

  • Flagstaff, AZ to South Rim (approx 1.5 hours)

Driving to the South Rim from Harry Reid (LAS)

  • Las Vegas, NV to South Rim (approx 4.5 hours)

  • Las Vegas, NV to Flagstaff, (approx 4 hours)

  • Las Vegas, NV to Williams (approx 3.5 hours)

  • Las Vegas, NV to  Tusayan (approx 4 hours)

Rim to Rim

Recommended Arrival

  • Plan to arrive in Page, AZ one to three days before your trip.  

  • Page offers a number of attractions and smaller warm-up hikes before your big hike

  • Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, White Pocket, and The Wave nearby

  • Shuttle service will be provided to North Rim on morning of your hike and return to Page on the last day.

  • Phoenix to Page (approx 4 hours)

  • Las Vegas to Page (approx 4 hours)​

Flying to Page, AZ

  • Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor PHX)

  • Fly into Page on Contour airlines

    • Contour's schedule is available 3 months in advance​
